The service
Subbie Invoice ("the service"), run by Urban Code Studios, helps self-employed construction workers log hours, create CIS invoices, record expenses and prepare summaries for their accountant. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Your responsibilities
- Check every invoice before you send it. You are responsible for the details, hours, rates and amounts on your invoices.
- Make sure your CIS rate, UTR and bank details are correct, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your own records for HMRC. Download your invoices and summaries regularly.
- Only use the service for genuine work you have done, and don't misuse it, attempt to access other people's data or interfere with how it runs.
- Keep access to your email account secure, as it is how you sign in.
Not tax or legal advice
CIS deductions, totals, expense categories and summaries are calculated from the information you enter, for convenience. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. Check figures against the CIS payment and deduction statements from your contractors, and speak to an accountant or HMRC about your own situation.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running and your data safe, but it is provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features over time.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by incorrect information entered into the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Me → Delete my account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
Paid plans
The service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll explain the price and what's included before you are asked to pay, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: paul@urbancodestudios.com.
